    Ah, Snack
    6 pathogens detected
So the Bible study I go to on Monday night delegates someone every week to do snack. By delegates, I mean that someone volunteers. This week, we have two volunteers, and I am one of them.

First, I had grand plans of using my new KITCHENAID ARTISAN STAND MIXER IN EMPIRE RED to make honey-bran muffins. However, I went to the store and found out that the Safeway near our house doesn't sell wheat bran! What?!??!?

So then I decided to make some Chex mix (sadly, without using the KASMiER). Then, while walking through the store, I realized why people just buy the pre-made stuff now. Those ingredients are danged expensive! Pretzels-3 bucks! Bagel chips- 3 bucks! Mixed nuts- 4 bucks! Chex- 5 dollars a box!

Anyway, I bought about 1/2 the ingredients, and decided I could jimmy it together. Turns out, I could! Ah, the wonders of habanero hot sauce and garlic powder. It worked out so well, in fact, that Matt and I accidentally ate 1/2 of it while playing several rounds of Milles-Bornes.

So, I decided to make some Muddy Buddies instead. Ah, that shining bastion of pre-menstrual comfort foods. They turned out well, except I learned 2 things:
    1. Muddy Buddies really are easier to make with someone helping you, and
    2. They are more difficult to make when one hand is holding a cell phone and you are trying to act as your mom's tech support at the same time. My wedding ring never looked so chocolately!

So, tonight's snack is 1/2 bag of spicy chex snacky mix and 1 bag of very muddy buddies. That was way harder than it should have been.

Why do I sometimes feel like Anne Glamore?
