    Long hair is considered bohemian, which may be why I grew it, but I keep it long because I love the way it feels, part cloak, part fan, part mane, part security blanket.

    I used to keep long bangs for that (cloak) thing as a child for a few years. But now, alas, time and mommyhood made me chop it off. Short hair is easy. The summer is hot. And anyway, hair (for me) is a way to express moods.
