Wow. The weather is absolutely crazy here right now. All of today until 6 p.m. was clear and very hot, peaking at about 98 degrees. Then at 6, the wind picked up in huge gusts. It then calmed down a little, but is not blowing hugely again (weather reports say between 40 and 60 mph gusts, with big thunder and lightning and a TON of dust. The weather advisory says it's gonna be a gigantic dust/thunderstorm with scattered downpours.

On one hand, I love huge storms. They make me anticipate the coming of the Lord. On the other hand, the farmers are now getting really desparate. They were supposed to cut hay 2 weeks ago, but with the rain they haven't been able to. Now the 10 biggest barns around here (along with a lot of the smaller places, like Dr. Mike's and Far West) are almost out of hay. People are starting to panic.
