I am writing this post from my new laptop! It is SO BEAUTIFUL.

Oh, and my grandparents threw in a scanner/printer, a 2 gig iPod nano, a laptop case, iWork, Microsoft Office, and an Apple Protection Plan.

    I am spoiled.

    We are in Los Angeles.

    We have housing in Scotland.

    We got our visas today.

    Life has been hectic.

Missing Spokane folk like crazy right now.

    More later.

    Oh, The Talent is Overwhelming.

My dear friend Claire had her bachelorette party last night. Yay! In 28 hours, her and Dave will become the world's most hilarious married couple!*

At her request, I baked a cake for the occasion. With Matt's cutting brilliance, and little bit of innovative frosting and decorating, it was done.

Behold, the Power of two talented Prices!

*This means that we must be entirely out of our apartment in 26 hours. Gack!

I am, apparently a materialistic person.

Before we started packing, I was like, "Just give me a pair of pants and a t-shirt! I don't need anything else I own!"

But now? I just really love that lamp. And Humphrey, who's been with me since I was sixteen. and my 4-foot-long stuffed trout. And that Rivera Print. And my KASMiER. And my bathrobe.

Aaahh! Since when am I so connected to these things?

    The Magic

So, Matt and I are moving to Scotland. Lacking our own freightliner, or even the money to afford a U-Haul, we are getting rid of most of our stuff. I tried posting the stuff we had on Freecycle, but it seemed unwieldy and hard to post. Then a friend at NorthSpokanePlaceIWork suggested using craigslist, of which I had never heard.

Well, I tried it today, and I was floored. Not only is it REALLY easy to post, but the stuff went so fast! The papasan chair was out of our house less than 25 minutes after I posted it. So far, in just a few hours, we have had a response to every single listing. Yippee!

When it's hot outside, I stop desiring most food. I mostly feel like eating fresh fruit and drinking lots of cold, clear liquids. As a result, I usually lose a significant amount of weight in the summer.
